I am mentally exhausted reading. To your knowledge- does any other company go through this process? Is there anyone else who goes to such lengths developing products?

Negative. Nobody else is doing what we are doing. Nobody in the world. Some are doing certain things, but no supplement company has the lab we do, or the experienced scientists we do. They also don't partner with professors in other countries, and literally have people go out in the jungle to get non-extract bark to run botany testing on. We even bought this professor in Brazil a special column to use in his HPLC, so he can run screening tests there and speed things up. This shit is very difficult and expensive, and takes us years a lot of the time. We have some projects that have been going on for 6 years now, and we have spent money on them every year without making a cent in that period. It's just about solving the science, with the hope that one day we might make a product from the science we solved. Only grant funded research organizations do shit like that. For profit companies very rarely spend money just trying to solve new science without the promise of direct revenue from it. I spend the money on it because I am passionate about the science, and I know that eventually we will be able to use something out of the science we learn. It might just take years.
