Yep! We've been looking at more than the USP monograph for many years. We built our own in-house UPLC assay methods for ginsenosides a long time ago. We actually went back and forth with Alkemist showing how their results were not accurate in a test they did for us. There is often a lot more actives than the traditional USP monographs look at. This is why we came up with the term "STAG" or standardized target analyte grouping. We set our STAG ourselves now, which determines which specific individual compounds we consider part of the analyte grouping. Sometimes we leave those as the USP list. However, many times we expand that out. This is what we did with the people from Shoden. We created our own STAG that was much larger than the USP monograph. We do that for our ginger as well. USP and Alkemist only look at 4 gingerols and shogaols. We look at 6. We also sometimes remove compounds from the STAG that we don't consider part of the class of compounds. We have been working on our lion's mane project for many years, and we are developing our STAG as we speak. There are compounds that were named erinacines simply because the author of the paper at the time called them that, but they are nowhere close in structure to the other erinacines. The same goes for hericenones. There are compounds currently called hericenones that are much closer in structure to erinacines. We are actually going to write a paper about it, and propose renaming the compounds to be more in line with their actual chemical structures. Lots of fun chemistry stuff going on in our lab!

Lions mane 8:1 extract on amazon has an F on fakespot. Why?

Replying to Fakespot · We can see why this thread would gain a lot of attention due to the F grade for an ND product. Before I dive into the grading, let's talk about the grade itself and what it means.

Hey, Fakespot! Didn't expect that. I am going to forewarn you, this will be a long one. I am going to go into a lot of detail, and I am going to pepper sarcasm and criticism in along the way. Just be prepared (peppered?)

1) I like to pair it with GABA, Baikal skullcap, and Sibelius sage. 2) I notice it for 3-5 hours. 3) I do think it has the potential for potentiating stronger stimulants, but it also has a calming effect with the GABA

Tiger Milk vs. Lions Mane? Repair Brain from THC use?

Replying to smallorangepopsicle · Lol excellent. Me as well sir, but I take tongkat sporadically bc knee pain. Confuses me as far as keeping an eye on my lyme symptoms. Seems like I read it mitigates glucocorticoid

I actually took a tribulus stack we are working on today, too. So I am extra amped up! LOL The knee pain from tongkat is a drop in estrogen. This is where combining it with horny goat weed and Panax ginseng can help. D
