For those of you taking ND’s beta-ecdysterone:

- Have you noticed any tangible improvements to health markers? I.e., strength adaptions, rate of hypertrophy, recovery, or changes to bloodwork.
- Do you combine doses with other supplements or specific foods?
- Pre or post workout?
- Anyone experienced sides or cognitive effects?
Personally, I have been supplementing post workout with Schisandra and meal high in protein.
It’s too early to ascertain any impact it is or is not having as have only been supplementing a week, although I am aware numerous members of the community have been using ecdysterone for sometime now and would be interested to hear reports.

This sub won't let me post for some reason
But I saw this study https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2807318/
That seems to indicate Cordycepin inhibits muscle protein synthesis, in vitro. Do you have any thoughts or experience regarding this?

That's interesting! I will have to do some more research on it. We've actually suspected that the real effects in cordyceps that we have been liking are not from cordycepin at all, but a different compound in there. Our 10:1 cordyceps actually has less cordycepin, but it is clearly stronger than the 1:1. Also, we tested some Host Defense cordyceps, which is mycelium on grain, and it had the highest cordycepin content, but we didn't feel the effects at all. We even took pure cordycepin from Sigma Aldrich and didn't feel anything. We are running some lab tests right now to confirm our suspicions. If it turns out to be true, we are going to publish our findings. Everyone just assumes cordycepin in the main active in cordyceps, but that might not be the case. Pair that with this info, and perhaps making lower cordycepin extracts would prove beneficial.
