Maca maximum dose?

Original post in this thread

Unfortunately, Maca doesn’t seem to tickle my brain at all.

What’s a maximum recommended dose if I want to give it a proper test just to see if it even can have an effect on me?

Hmm I guess that makes sense. I just thought some things are supposed to have a distinct acute effect and meant to be taken as needed because of that, and so should be judged that way.

That's absolutely how you can use some things. However, when you are initially assessing how you respond to a new supplement, it's best to give it a bit more time with it, then reflect back before making a final judgement. I can't tell you how many times I have taken some thing new, thought I was getting no effect, continued to take it anyway just to see, then realized how much of an effect it was having on me when I stopped. NMN was that way for me. At first I wasn't sure I noticed much. Then I kept taking it for a few weeks till I ran out of my beta test batch. Then after a couple days I noticed I had less energy and lower mood. I got more NMN and went right back to feeling good again. I actually just tested out a new flavone we are thinking of offering. Same thing. After a single dose I was not convinced I could feel it. However, I always give things a longer chance when I am beta testing, so I kept taking it for a couple weeks. Then I ran out of my batch, and reflected on the change I felt when ceasing. I actually think it was having a stronger effect on me than I realized, and only noticed the change back to baseline when I stopped. This allows me to know that it was doing something, so now I can adjust dosing and timing to see what I can get acutely.

I am always trying new things that we are working on. So at any one point in time my stack will be different. However, I do have some staples in my base stack that stay there pretty consistently. * CoQSol-CF * Reacta-C

Why is your enteric NMN 4x stronger subjectively than double wood?

We are the only real enteric delivery NMN on the market, and that makes a big difference in your body's ability to absorb it. There is a reason we set our dose where we did, and that was due to a lot of testing on NMN do

Replying to bronzeagemindset · Is the science really there that shows its that much more effective than large doses of niacin?

With niacin you have 3 rate-limiting enzymes controlling the amount of NAD+ created: NARPT, NMNAT, and NADSYN1. With NMN you only have one: NMNAT. It only stands to reason that you can increase NAD+ faster and to a highe
