We have been shrinking our bottles where possible, to avoid waste and carbon emissions from shipping. There is no reason to ship larger/heavier bottles with a bunch of air in them if we can size down and make things more efficient. That's why the bottle is smaller. Nothing to worry about there. As for the color, as others have stated it is because the older ones have absorbed moisture over time. You can see it has shrunk in the capsule. Powders that are very hygroscopic do that. It more common and faster in high humidity areas than dry ones. Nothing to worry about, though. Also, plant extracts can vary in color sometimes. What determines if they are in-spec is their chromatographic fingerprint on HP-TLC, which we ensure is correct every single time.
