Yeah I did quite a bit of maintenance aside from operations when I was on the nuclear side involving turbines, hydraulic valves, steam components, etc and realized I really loved it. That was all for the military. Once I started working outside that field I loved it even more because I had quite a bit more freedom in the workplace. We're moving here in about 2 weeks so I'll know more here shortly which route I will be going. But welding and fabricating things is a lot of fun. It makes the day go by really quick. With a machine shop you can pretty much do damn near anything. Unfortunately the cost of materials has gone up like crazy so even getting metal tubing, sheet metal, piping is extremely expensive right now. That bike sounds pretty badass. I knew a few guys that had e-bikes. That's gotta be pretty fun to just cruise around on.

Yeah, the material cost increases are kind of crazy right now. Just not sustainable. I hope we are getting close to it subsiding, because it is really messing a lot up.
