Have you seen the movie The Accountant? You know, the one with Ben Affleck where he is super autistic and has to lock himself in a house blaring loud music, then beat the shit out of his own legs with a wooden stick? I am like that, except instead of beating the shit out of my own legs I read a lot of research, and instead of blaring loud music I hire really smart and experienced people that I learn as much as I can from. So I am like The Accountant, but without the autism, self harm, and murder.
In all seriousness, I did not go to school for this. I have always learned better on my own, and I spend a lot of my time researching and reading new scientific info. Then I bring the smartest, most qualified, most passionate people onto my team that I can; anyone that resonates with my mission of advancing the lab testing, quality control, and standardization level of this industry. Then I pick their brains to get as much knowledge as I can out of them, and we collaborate on increasing that knowledge together. I try to act like a sponge, and soak up anything I can from everyone I meet. Then I beat the shit out of my legs when I get home! LOL
