It was very interesting/cool to be a part of though. I'm glad however my career path took a slightly different turn. I love performing maintenance on large machinery/fabricating/welding etc so that's where I eventually ended up. The work/life balance is much better IMO. We are actually in the process of moving right now so I may end up working in a laboratory for testing (some nuclear, some non-nuclear). I'll know in a few weeks time.

Ohh, got it. You went a different route. Welding and fabricating is super fun, too! At some point I want to build my own machine shop. I love designing and making things! I always have new ideas. I actually designed my own E-bike last year. I had a prototype made and everything. I put things on hold for now with the economy going the way it is, but I am going to bring it out at some point. It's such a cool bike! I've ridden all sorts of bikes my whole life, so I know what feels good and what doesn't. I know all the geometries and dimensions that really work. I bought an E-bike for my wife and I a while back, and it took over 6 months to get to me after ordering. Then when I got it I was impressed with some things, but disappointed in others. I said to myself that there was a great bike hidden under this okay bike, and that I could design a better one. I am super happy with how it turned out! It rides just like I hoped; better even. I hope I can bring it out soon. Designing and building things is just so fulfilling!
