Please be cautious on orders from Botany.bio - mistakenly labeled (and therefore adulterated unknown substance) from product found in my last order.

Yeah I get that, the whole industry is a nightmare. Some of the things ConsumerLabs has found are hair-raising.
The thing is, -right now- their in-house lab seems on top of things and doing good things but like everything else in this industry when everything is launched, fresh and new and eyeballs are on it, everything is done right.
However imagine then a bit later when there is trust built and margins are tight, corners are cut. Reliable people are fired to save money and unknowns start handling things to minimize cost. Not impossible to imagine outfits testing a first batch, making a label for nutrition info, then never doing diligence again because why bother, there is no penalty.
A notorious example of this is "BulkSupplements". When they were new everything was top notch and above board. As soon as they got enough reputation and gave away enough free product to get endless positive reviews, it all went out the window. Now one of out every three products they have is likely not what is claimed. There clearly is unlisted padding in many of their supps.
But whole industry is like that. Establish reputation so you get a free fanclub that will defend you. Then later do whatever to maximize profits to keep alive and eventually sell the brand.

As long as I own Nootropics Depot, you don't have to worry about that. I'll go out of business before I'll compromise my ethics and cut corners on testing. Just ask any of my employees. Sometimes we just go out of stock for a year till we can solve a problem. Our lab also isn't new. I first started building our lab in 2015. That Thermo Scientific FTIR in my video was the first piece of equipment I bought, then the Agilent HPLC. The white lab just had a renovation, with new fume hoods and bulit-in cabinets. However, it was all there before that. We just had resin coated steel tables in there before, rather than built-in resin topped cabinets. The equipment was all still there, though.
Also, it's not like we don't still use 3rd party labs. We are partnered with half a dozen other ISO certified labs, and use them every week. I bet we do more third party testing than most brands, too... on top of all the testing we do in-house. We are also an ISO certified 3rd party lab ourselves!

We test products for other supplement brands, and other 3rd party labs send us samples that we have the capability of testing that they don't, and we send them samples of things to test that we currently can't. We are part of the NIST proficiency program, and we work with lab equipment manufacturers like Waters and CAMAG to help beta test new hardware and software, along with helping them to write new application notes for novel extracts. In addition, we are currently in the process of becoming DEA certified. One of our NIST proficiency rounds was a full cannabinoid panel, so we developed a massive method for all the cannabinoids with Waters' help, and are now in the process of getting the DEA to start allowing us to test scheduled substances for people. We are also working with Waters, CAMAG, and the AKA to bring out better kratom testing methods. We are not just some rando in-house lab at a small company cutting corners to get product out. I've literally built a world class analytical lab that can stand on its own.
If I died would that eventually change? I'd like to think not, because I have a good team that I've instilled my ethos on, and I have a very comprehensive estate planning structure that will keep things running the way I want it even if I'm no longer here. But hey, I'd be dead, so I guess I wouldn't know. As always, be skeptical. This is a scam industry, so skepticism is warranted. However, I'm one of the people trying to change that.
