I agree. Amazon only cares if a brand is making them money. If that brand is breaking Amazon's TOS, they only care if the public catches on and it makes Amazon look bad. If everyone is none the wiser, they don't give one flying shit if a brand is breaking the rules... as long as they make money doing it. Time and time again the same story rings true. You can break Amazon's TOS as long as you make enough money, and as long as you don't get caught publicly and make Amazon look bad in the process. At some point the only way to make any changes in this industry will be to file lawsuits and make the controversy very public. Force consumers to see what is really going on. That will be the only way. The issue is that will be a very messy fight for whomever decides to take it on. I could file a bunch of lawsuits right now citing the Lanham Act against all these brands. I've already worked out with lawyers on how to do it, where to file, and an entire statutory construction that we would absolutely win with. Moreover, we would get broad discovery. That would be the real bad thing for these brands. If they tried to fight it, we would get the ability to get all their records in discovery; and if it went to trial, all their shady practices would be out in the open. I really do think that will be the only thing that forces change. I don't see any other avenue working.
So if NMN is potent why sell NR at all? Do some people have different "receptors" for it or is the cycle the same in all humans?
Because the NAD+ cycle is complex. NMN is more efficient at raising NAD+, but NR has interesting effects of its own. The science it also not 100% settled yet. There is still a lot we don't know about the process, so hitting multiple parts is always going to be better than focusing on a single one. I am personally combining NR with NMN now, as are multiple people at our office. We are working on a few more NAD+ supplements, too. Eventually we will release an optimized NAD+ stack on Natrium, once we find the right balance.
It's kind of like the dopamine/norepinephrine cycle. You can just take L-tyrosine, but NALT works better for some people. Then you can take L-phenylalanine, but DL-phenylalanine has some interesting endocannabinoid effects that the L form doesn't have. L-tyrosine also mostly goes to dopamine, where phenylalanine goes more balanced with NE. Just picking one is not going to give you the ideal results; especially for different people. This is why offering different supplements that hit the "same" system can make sense. NAD+ is even more complex than the DA/NE cycle, too. So one size will not fit all there.
