Quercetin, Zinc, and Copper

I've been taking zinc daily for years now, and quercetin for the past few weeks as it measurably improves my HRV, and subjectively improves my breathing. However, I've seen speculation - and also a small handful of anecdotes - that quercetin and zinc can impair tendon healing, as quercetin is a zinc ionophore, which can cause copper depletion.
Is there any truth to this? Should a person taking quercetin + zinc also supplement with copper, or do we likely get enough through diet anyway?
As someone that rock climbs regularly, tendon strains and injuries are a fact of life.

How much copper is too much? Seems like the common dose in supplements is 2mg which is well over the RDA, but is there a risk in taking that every day? I take one 2mg pill every 2-3 days usually, just to make sure I'm getting some.

Seems like 10mg/day is the upper limit, but I would probably stay much lower than that. I think 2mg per day is still perfectly safe.
