The subreddit itself is proof nootropics work

This just came across my mind, but this is the only Subreddit that I've ever came across (besides maybe r/Nootropics) that isn't toxic at all, no arguments, no mean people, no internet intellectuals, and at the same time everyone here is always kind, receptive, clear-headed, and open-minded. Considering this is reddit, that's damn near impossible. So clearly, the people of this subreddit are, to say, "getting high on Nootropic Depot's supply"😊, I mean shoot, the suburb is leaps and bounds more peaceful than even r/Meditation

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is just the way any respectful group of high performers behaves as a community. You're right that it's notable, though. It's a rare thing to stumble upon within the modern hyper-hyper-connected online ecosystem, but even a community like this is one trend/meme away from becoming something a bit more familiar (in the Not Good way).
For example, many /r/Nootropics veterans will confirm that while the subreddit remains a bastion of discussion and discovery to this day, its present form is in fact a shadow of a more esoteric (even gloriously so), more clinical past. There was once a time where anecdotes were worth suspicious squints at best. That is, unless those anecdotes were coming from someone who has demonstrated and created a reputation for neurobiological veracity and the scientific method.
In those days I was a novice myself and I can still recall split-screening wikipedia alongside the subreddit to make it easier to follow the neurochemical science weaved into even the most hasty of pre-exam, pre-coding-binge toilet posts.
For those who aren't quite sure which "era" I'm referring to... I'm just vaguely recalling the period of time where /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb had a 70% chance to pop up in any given thread to either share a novel anecdote or sling a bunch of hot research papers around like that throwing-knife guy from Desperado - bu…

I am glad to see that some people from the earlier days are still around and part of the community. It's also nice to hear that my efforts have not gone unnoticed! Happy New Year!
