“Contains Triterpenoids”. Red reishi

ND is really good about including the exact amount of active ingredient in each dose of their product. That and price is why I exclusively get my mushrooms from them. However, the one exception to this seems to be the red Reishi. While most competitors list the exact triterpine content, ND just says that the product contains triterpinoids. Is there a reason for that? I currently take the 1:1 daily. It’s really well priced as far as mushroom supps go and the beta glucan content is robust, as is the case for all ND products.

Out of curiosity, how does this apply to Lucidispore's minimum 30% triterpene label?

Testing triterpenes in oil is much different than in powdered mushroom. We built our own triterpene methods for our Lucidispore, and sent to SGS for extra verification. However, these methods only work on the oil. They don't apply to the powders, so those are a whole other set of methods we are almost done with. I do want to expand our oil methods to break out the exact ganoderic acids, though. Right now we only claim total triterpenes, but I want to break them out with the new Sigma standards that are out now. Reishi spore oil is also a really weird one. It is TOTALLY different than any other part of the reishi fungi.
