Doublewood is notorious for playing the 2 capsule dose game. It works really well on Amazon because they show you price/capsule, not price/suggest dose. There's no reason to put 300mg PS into two capsules. If you want 300mg, you can absolutely fit that into a single capsule with ease. They do it to rank higher on Amazon and make it look like you are getting more than you are. That's even if they contain what they claim to, which we have tested many that have not. Amazon is a cesspool of deceit and fraud to rank higher, because it is lucrative and Amazon doesn't do shit to stop it.
Regarding NOW, they seem to have sized up a couple sizes in capsules for some reason. Many times that is due to tooling. Some brands don't have the tooling to run smaller capsules, so they just use larger ones with more filler. NOW is big enough to have the tooling, though. So they likely either did it because there has been a shortage of size 1-3 capsules the past year, which we have dealt with as well, or they didn't want to change tooling size on the machines for efficiency sake. Either way, it's not ideal. However, it doesn't automatically mean that they don't contain what they claim to. Some brands do size up in capsules to hide the fact they don't contain as much as they claim. If you just use more filler, and someone dumps the powder out on a scale, it obfuscates how much active is in there. I doubt NOW is doing that, though. It's likely due to machine/tooling unavailability or a shortage of smaller capsules.
