Is this price temporarily? If not, since when did Piracetam's price rise 50% its original price? I remember it wasn't that long since it used to cost around $60... Maybe the last time I saw it for around $65?

I really love your transparency, thank you a lot u/MisterYouAreSoDumb. This is the reason why I still love NootropicsDepot. Nevertheless, I will only stick to my essentials for now such as Citicoline and NMN. Thankfully the last $60 bottle of Piracetam I have has lasted for well over 3 years, and I recently opened it this year.
P.S.: Not making this political but yeah, Biden sure has disappointed many of us out here. Thankfully I did not even vote for him since I smelled he was going to pull something like this off. Hell even the two elections since 2016 seemed rigged, pulled out on purpose.

I am super disappointed in all of it. These supply chain issues are partly manufactured and the other part was entirely avoidable. It's just that the people in control didn't want to avoid it, because now they are profiting off it. You heard how the empty shipping containers were stacking up at the port, causing congestion, right? This is a systemic issue with a lack of truck drivers, port fees for trucks entering, and some other BS rules making it difficult to get containers where they need to go. What was Biden's solution to it? To fucking FINE PEOPLE if the containers were not moved in a timely fashion. It's a $100/day fine for any container sitting past 6/9 days, depending on if it is going rail. Sounds somewhat reasonable to people not in the know, but is batshit stupid to the people actually dealing with this shit. It's not the people causing the delays that will pay the fine. WE ARE!!! It's an extra cost passed on to the importer of record for something we can't control. Perhaps if the people behind the issue were paying the fine, maybe that would help put a fire under them to alleviate it. However, they have made it clear that they are going to be passing the fines onto us. I will link the email we got from UPS below.
The ocean carriers have advised that they will be passing this fee downstream to the customers and beneficial cargo owners...
So his solution to port congestion was to make fines that were able to be passed down the to customers anyway... How fucking stupid is that?!? If you are going to use a fine to try and force companies to figure out solutions to a problem, make the damn fine so they can't just pass it on down to the customers, further increasing retail costs!!! Like how the fuck am I supposed to control how long our containers are sitting?!? I want them loaded up and out of the port ASAP! I don't want them sitting, nor can I control how long they do. Yet now I have to pay these fines Biden put in place because the shipping carriers are just passing them on to us. Then he did an executive order to make the ports operate 24/7. Well that's great, except it's a lack of truck drivers and lack of crane operators that is the bulk of the issue. Keeping the ports open 24/7 doesn't magically create more truck drivers or crane operators...
I don't know man, this whole pandemic response has made it very clear our country is broken. Our entire supply chain is on much shakier ground than anyone realized. We are doing another expansion to our lab again for some new equipment, and we got the electrical quote for it. It was $50,000!!! Our electrician said it would have only been $25,000 a year ago. However, cost increases have made it double in a year. He also has to re-quote us every 2 weeks, because the prices for the materials he needs are changing so rapidly. The equipment we are buying for the lab has gone up a ton, too. Also, they just informed us that if we don't buy it this month, prices are having a permanent 15% increase in January. This is an increase on the existing increases that have happened this year, and they said it was a permanent increase. Ohh, and our landlord wants to raise our rent by 20%! We are negotiating, but commercial space in the Phoenix area is blowing up. Tons of companies are moving here, so the market is going nuts. You name it and our costs are increasing. It's been a challenge for us to make all this workable. Things are just changing so quickly. It's no surprise why a bunch of supplement companies have sold to Nestle and venture capital firms over the past year. Some of this shit really wears on you.
