I know these have been asked about 2-3 months ago, but I'm wondering what the status is of these two new extracts now.
I'm also very interested to hear more about the effects of each from u/MisterYouAreSoDumb or others at ND, especially the maca as it hasn't been discussed much. Thanks!

Do you think the immune system affecting and anti-inflammatory supplements can interfere with developing the most immunity via a vaccine?

No, absolutely not. The vaccines don't work by causing inflammation. That can just be a side effect if your body thinks it is actually being infected. Attenuated viral vaccines work by exposing your body to a deactivated virus, which helps in teaching your body that it is bad and getting it to attack it when it sees it. The new mRNA vaccines work by giving instructions on how to make a piece of the spike protein on the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which your body then recognizes as an invader. After that, it starts creating antibodies and mobilizing T-cells to fight it off. These antibodies and T-cell immunity are specific to that part of the spike protein, so they recognize it and attack it if they see it again. However, they are much more targeted and specific than attenuated viral or DNA-based vaccines. This whole process does not depend on oxidation/inflammation. It's enzymes in the cytoplasm in your body that take that RNA and create those proteins with it. Once those proteins are seen by your body's defense systems, it mobilizes as if it has been infected by something new. This teaches it how to recognize and attack it if it sees it again, but without actually infecting you. It's just a small part of the spike protein that your body is making based on those RNA instructions. It's actually extremely cool, and is going to revolutionize how we vaccinate people for all number of diseases.
