One of the most requested features on our website has been a page that can include our newest and upcoming product releases. While we do have a New Product category, new products would typically be released at random and without warning. However, many of you shop with us daily and we recognize it would be much more convenient if you are able to know when a new product release is coming or if a new product was recently released. In fact, it has been expressed to us many times that having that information may help you and your fellow shoppers decide whether to place an order now or if you would rather wait a few days until our newest product is released.

Here is a cool option. Maybe have a fedex like tracking for product releases.. Where it is in the cycle. Received product --> Testing --> Bottling --> Approval --> Shipping (obviously way more steps but including all of them would be engaging for the customer) and you could always have an update half way through "issues at this step, no further time frame available". The customer would get insight into process flow, see where it is in that, and you have a structured system to update if/when necessary. This would increase engagement and would allow you to answer the questions before they're asked "did not pass xyz" and you won't have questions "where and when is this product coming out" - they'll just see it's stuck somewhere in the process line and potentially have an estimated lead time to pass this step, or not it's suck till further notice.

There's no way we could manage something like that. It would have to be a whole software package designed around just that, and we would have to manage updating everything at each step. Plus, it would clue competitors into what we are working on, how far we are into the process, where we are having issues, and allow us them to adjust their operations to try and beat us to the punch on some of them. We've been having a LOT of issues with competitors trying to cause problems for us lately. There is such a thing as releasing too much information sometimes.
