Yeah, that's common with alpha-GPC in humid environments. If you live in a rainforest, it's going to be pretty tough to keep GPC from getting to moisture. It's a moisture boi. It will find any water it can so that it can suck it up. This is actually why we took down our alpha-GPC softgels to reformulate. It is so hygroscopic that it was sucking the moisture out of the softgel shell! This was making them become brittle and prone to cracking after 3-6 months. There's not much out there as hygroscopic as alpha-GPC.
We have moved to white HDPE bottles for alpha-GPC now, though. That should help some. HDPE prevents water from passing through a lot better than our normal PETE bottles. Many people just think plastic is plastic, but polymer science is pretty crazy. We've been trying to get some custom made blue HDPE bottles for the hygroscopic things, but the supply chain issues from COVID have made that difficult at the moment. Because of that, I just decided to move to white HDPE that we can get. So you will notice some things coming in white bottles/jars lately. If you see that it's because that specific product is hygroscopic. I'd prefer to keep the color consistent, but that's just not an option at the current moment. A packaging redesign has been in the plans for a few years, but we had to put that on hold with the current state of the supply chain. Eventually we will be doing our own custom bottles/jars.
Regarding the product itself, it's perfectly fine. It doesn't affect potency or efficacy. It's just sucking up water like the moisture boi that it is. If you wanted to slow that down, you could always get a glass jar with a rubber seal, then put the bottle in there with a desiccant pack. That would be the best way to prevent the moisture from getting through. Glass is pretty impermeable.
