Best "all-around" adaptogen?

Original post in this thread

Hi guys,

Which is the best supplement for all these goals (if it does exist): energy, focus, anxiety/overthinking and testosterone (low LH - luteinizing hormone).

Basically I can't make up my mind among: tongkat ali, cordyceps 10:1, ashwagandha (Shoden vs KSM-66) and ginseng (GS15-4 vs Panamax).

I've seen that there a lot of studies, but I'd like to know which is the best supplement according to your direct experience.

Thanks!

EDIT
Thanks guys for all the great feedbacks. It seems that the most recommended adaptogens for my goals are Tongkat Ali and Panamax ginseng.
Somebody mentioned also Rhodiola as a great all-arounder. I know that it's great for energy and focus, but I didn't see a lot of reviews about benefits for anxiety and testosterone issues.
Lastly, I think I should have added also Shilajit to the initial list, since it seems to have a lot of overall benefits.
What's your take on this, u/MisterYouAreSoDumb?

thanks man 👍🏼

one question about rhodiola: do you think that it has also some benefits regarding testosterone and anxiety, or only for energy and overall well-being?

Rhodiola does not seem to affect testosterone at all. However, it does help with stress. Most people report that with the high rosavin extract over the salidroside, but again, everyone is different. I have had people say they get better stress effects from the salidroside one. Lower stress is absolutely one of the main effects people report from rhodiola, though.

Possible Fake?

Always make sure it says "sold by Nootropics Depot" when buying from us on Amazon. We have brand protection on there, which is supposed to prevent hijacking of our listings. However, they seem to have found a way around

Whoever left the review calling Rhodiola Crenulata "nap in a bottle"...

See, this is why I try to explain that we are all so different. For the average person, the crenulata is stimulating. However, some people have paradoxical reactions to things.

So which products are getting the axe?

Replying to anexanhume · Rhodiola Rosea is now endangered, so unless ND changes to a synthesized version like NNB is doing, it may go away.

We are actually working with a company that is cell culturing plants in vats, and Rhodiola is one of them. We think that is the future, if they can bring costs down.

Salidrosol Solution vs. Crenulata Powder: Is there a functional difference between the two?

Plant extracts always have more in them than just the main standardized actives. Crenulata is a pretty cool one that gets overshadowed by the rosea species. I think sometimes it gets a bad name because at lot of dishones
