I'm making this post to see how many people share the same experience as me.
Earlier I posted about nootropic depots new phenibut being milled differently and apparently from a different supplier. Ever since they changed their phenibut it hit differently, I would still feel it but not as euphoric as it once was. So I was having thoughts like damn has my tolerance went up? Do I need a break? Do I need to take more due to the old batches being powder and this stuff being almost like salt? Or did I lose the complete phenibut magic like it once was?
So i said screw it im gonna look around else where and came across liftmode. I noticed liftmode sells their phenibut hcl in all varieties from powder to large crystals, so i said screw it im gonna try ordering their powdered form. I got it in the mail and at first was pleased that they give you a batch sheet listing the potency of it and all that jazz even came with a scooper but i"ll never use it. So I tried it last weekend and kinda sorta felt it the first night i kinda messed up my eating schedule along with taking it so that may be why, but i woke up the next day with a huge afterlife that lasted till like 5pm, the second time i trie…

Damn. Now I just feel bad. I didn’t mean to question the integrity of the company, I know ND is an amazing company and I know how hard you have worked and continue to work to ensure everything is always top notch and the best quality possible. After reading that, I feel stupid for listening to random redditors griping about the phenibut’s consistency saying that it being “fluffier” or more “granular” somehow determines or contributes at all to how much euphoria it brings, because the more that I think about it the more I realize how dumb that sounds. I hope you didn’t take any of what I said as me taking shots at you or ND; because again, I never actually even experienced any change in the quality of my phenibut from you guys, I just had never used Liftmodes, and seeing all these dudes talking about how theirs was so much “more euphoric” made me question if you really had switched to a different supplier. Either way, I should’ve just trusted that it was bullshit, knowing I’ve never gotten anything but quality out of ND, but thanks for taking the time to set these other people and I guess myself straight about this very dumb and petty phenibut controversy.

It's okay. I am not upset at you specifically. I know you are only going on the information you have. It's just that I have dealt with this issue sooooo many times over the years, it really does feel like groundhog day sometimes. I really have tried to use any scientific method I can to empirically prove why someone might say one batch is better than another; not just for phenibut, either. Adrafinil is the same way. We have spent years trying to figure out the light/dark adrafinil thing, and we only recently did because we did our own synths of it. It's a different crystal structure of adrafinil that causes the light to reflect back with a pink/salmon hue. We can do different crystallization steps to make the adrafinil powder white or pinkish. We tried for years to empirically verify this. We did HPLC, NMR, GC-FID, ICP-MS, FTIR, polarimeter, etc. You name it, we tried it. In the end it was just a physical difference, not a chemical one. It's just the shape of the crystals that form when you recrystallize the adrafinil in the synthesis. Phenibut is much more simple. It's just the particle size, and phenibut HCL is very water soluble. So it doesn't affect pharmacokinetics. Adrafinil might be a different story, as it is not water soluble. So particle size and crystal structure could make a difference. These are just very high level particle sciences, not chemical. Pharma companies keep these things private as trade secrets. So we have to do all the work ourselves. Trust me, we are working very hard to solve these issues. I don't just ignore people. We just have to use validated scientific methods to prove there are differences. There just isn't a meaningful difference with the phenibut particle sizes. I just hope that people know we are not cheaping out or trying to increase profits. We really are trying very hard to improve the analytical and quality control systems of the industry, and solve some of these more advanced scientific issues.
