Yes even known pathways work differently depending where they are in the body. I often think that biochemistry is so utterly complex we never never figure it all out. folding@home has truly massive compute power and they're using a lot of that just to tackle the spike protein on COVID-19.

We will never figure it all out, but we will continue learning more and more. It's kind of cool to think about. We have so much yet to discover. It can sometimes seem like we missed the age of discovery, but this is only the beginning!
