I wanted to give our customers an update, since we have been getting a lot of questions surrounding the Coronavirus situation. We here at Nootropics Depot are currently operating like normal. However, we are taking the situation seriously. Currently, orders are being processed and shipped out like you would normally expect. However, things can change rapidly. We have been using enhanced biological protections at our facility, along with having multiple non-essential employees work from home, in an effort to social distance in a responsible manner. We have implemented a pandemic response plan, and have educated all our employees about the facts surrounding the current situation. We are ensuring that we as a company, along with all our employees individually, respond in a level-headed and intelligent manner to this ongoing issue. We will work to maintain normal operations for our customers for as long as we can, while ensuring that we are being responsible regarding the overall public health of our community. If the situation does change, and we are forced to alter our operations in a manner that might affect customers, or the timely fulfillment of orders, we will notify you via ema…

Totally understandable. One question. I notice you guys use FedEx now. So they still ship same day if ordered on a Saturday? Thank you and you stay safe as well!

Yep! We signed a contract with FedEx to provide much faster/better shipping for our customers. USPS used to be good when I first started the company, but they have gone downhill since. The latest issues with tracking were kind of the last straw, and FedEx has been trying to woo us for years. They finally gave us a deal that we could make work. We are paying a little more than USPS, but now you will be getting GUARANTEED delivery times. We even had a package sent out yesterday as a 2 day service already get there today! So they are off to a damn good start! Saturday pickup is still the same, along with Saturday delivery. They are also coming to pickup packages from us 3 times a day, and scanning every single package before it leaves our facility. So tracking is going to be light-years ahead of USPS.
When I first picked the location of our facility, the fact that we were within 1/2 mile from a USPS, UPS, and FedEx distribution center was a big part of my decision. I knew being close to mail infrastructure was key to my goals of shipping speeds. The FedEx distribution facility is literally 1/4 mile from our facility, and my team will be doing a 4th drop off at the end of the day in addition to the 3 they pickup. Usually USPS sends everything out on trucks at the end of the day. So if we ship an order out USPS at 10am, it won't actually start moving out of Tempe till the trucks leave the USPS facility in the evening. Well FedEx is moving all the time. So if a package is picked up in the morning, it will go right to the distribution facility down the street and start moving on its journey! That's how that package that left yesterday was delivered today. The faster packages start moving in the system, the quicker it can get on a delivery truck to your house! This new contract we have with FedEx will be about as fast as humanly possible that any company can start moving packages to customers. Unless competitors are within 1/4 mile of a FedEx distribution center in a major city, and have the volume we can do get a contract this good, they will be hard pressed to compete on shipping times. Everyone here knows we ship out lightning fast from our facility. My team sometimes gets things out the door less than an hour after people order. However, we are at the mercy of the mail system once it leaves our hands. Now that we have a back end shipping partner that will be moving as quickly as we do, I think people are going to be very happy with things!
