Magnolia Bark and Physical Addiction

So I'm seeing a lot of conflicting information on the safety of regular use of magnolia bark, especially around here. The two view points I've seen here I could summarize as:
1. Magnolia bark is an allosteric modulator of GABAA similar to benzodiazepenes and as with all GABAA modulators it's a question of when dependence will arise.
2. GABA system is complex and it isn't as simple as (1).
I find myself quite worried about what's true here, as I'm trying to determine whether NootropicsDepot's sleep support is actually safe to take daily. I also don't have enough skill in reading academic paper on the subject to parse exactly the method of action and how it might differ from benzos, for example.
Does anyone here with perhaps more of a trained caliber in parsing this kind of information have any ideas?

I've taken our magnolia bark every single day for months, then stopped cold turkey without any issues. My team and I have also been experimenting with larger doses of 400mg, and found it to be simulating. So the mechanism is definitely interesting, but nothing like a benzo. I think people's fears here are a bit overblown. I would not have put it in our stack if I had not personally experimented with it and found it to be safe for daily use. My team and I do a lot of internal testing to see how things act and respond under different scenarios.
