Yes, but the automatic machine takes a full 4 hours of changeover time for cleaning. Usually it only makes sens to run that one for runs of 500,000 to 1,000,000 capsules at a time. The semi-auto machines are used for smaller runs. Plus, you have a fixed cost for every capsule, and we only use veggie caps. High quality veggie caps cost 4-5 times as much as gelatin ones. So filling a size 1 veggie cap with 150mg active ingredient has the same fixed cost as filling a size 1 with 300mg active. However, customers still calculate the cost per mg/dose. So we would have to charge significantly more per mg of caffeine and theanine in the smaller ones, due to those fixed costs.
