Anyone Tried Cinnamyl-Piracetam?

I heard that cinnamon oil (cinnamaldehyde) reacts with piracetam and makes cinnamyl-piracetam. Supposedly this makes it completely different.
Have any of you tried this? If so, how does it compare to regular piracetam?

/u/misteryouaresodumb, this making any sense to you? I've tried working out an arrow-pushing mechanism for the reaction, but I'm no organic chemist. Apparently it's supposed to give off water. It doesn't seem unfeasible, except that it's supposed to happen without any solvent. Cinnamaldehyde does seem like an ideal molecule for this sort of reaction, though, if ever there was one.

Cinnamaldehyde is very reactive. So it might react just in solution. I will have to speak to my lab director about it to confirm. I think perhaps heating them both in solution would be enough to cause the reaction between the cinnamaldehyde and the amide grouping on the piracetam. Not sure what the yield would be, though. I doubt it would be anywhere close to 100%
I found this study: https://www.ias.ac.in/article/fulltext/seca/007/06/0376-0380
Looks like you can, but the yields are low. That study was from 1938! LOL
