Why does the 1:1 ND Lions Mane extract powder have higher Beta Glucan content than the more expensive 8:1 extract?

1:1 extract powder, with "Beta-Glugan (β-Glucan) minimum content: 25%"

8:1 extract powder, with "Beta-Glugan (β-Glucan) minimum content: 15%"

Furthermore on the site, it says:

As a dietary supplement, take 1000mg of Lions Mane Mushroom 8:1 extract daily

As a dietary supplement, take 1000mg of Lion's Mane Mushroom Extract once daily.

Wouldn't it be more appropriate to recommend that the end user takes 1/8th of the quantity of the 8:1 extract daily?

Or is the 8:1 not actually 8 times more effective as a nootropic?

For cognitive support the 8:1 is the better product as it uses an alcohol extraction too, so it will boost NGF and BDNF, where as the 1:1 won't.
It's a shame this information isn't more easily accessible straight from the ND website :(

We do have a couple blogs on it on the site going through it. However, I have been meaning to update the product pages with more detailed info.
Also, we are working through some more updated analytical testing methods. I want to verify their accuracy before I write a big long post about what we have found. It's really interesting when you start getting into the nitty gritty of the actual individual compounds. We've learned a lot about the analytical side of things recently. I want to do a big post about it once I have made absolutely sure our findings are correct. If they are, people are going to be very surprised by the results.
