I have been consuming 100 mg theanine capsules SpringValley brand for over a couple of months. I am very familiar with it's feeling and I recently received and tried some Theanine from NootropicsDepot and WOW it blows SpringValley brand of theanine completely out of the water. There is no competition here, NootropicsDepot's theanine is superior to that of SpringValley's -- which is owned by Walmart.
######SpringValley
* Effects lasts fewer hours compared to NootropicsDepot
* Low quality
* Filler content in capsules
* Much more expensive per mg compared to NootropicsDepot
* Weak effects. Very dissimilar to that of NootropicsDepot
######NootropicsDepot
* Effects are active in a lower dosage compared to that of SpringValley
* Theanine is slightly longer acting than that of SpringValley
* More bang for your buck compared to other vendors
* No filler content; Pure L-Theanine in a jar
I would highly recommend staying away from any SpringValley product and looking for an alternate vendor.
TL;DR: Stay away from SpringValley (Walmart). Look for another vendor. NootropicsDepot is pretty damn good.

ND's makes me HIGHLY depressed when I take it for a week straight. I use normal dosages.
Other brands don't seem to do this

Your post 19 days ago said you were taking 300mg doses a few times a day. That's too much for most people. If I take more than 200mg in a day, I'll get depressive symptoms as well. Have you tried lowering the dosage drastically?
