Please note that this report discloses one of the only known sources for affordable human ß-NGF--use discretion when soliciting for product from the company. It would be terrible if they backed out of the smaller-quantity market due to an inundation of sketchy inquiries from non-academic accounts. The website concerned will only sell to customers with an email address related to some institution of learning, although their vetting doesn't appear to go past this and they are entirely willing to ship to a household address. Please be warned and do not abuse this source!
For over a year now, I've been part of a Longecity thread focused on acquiring pure NGF for use as an intranasal spray. This is based off of the regimen of Rita Levi-Montalcini, who discovered the growth factor and used it daily as eyedrops.
Unfortunately, it was proving very difficult to find a reasonably-priced source. Most places were selling it for more than $1000 per milligram and it was difficult to conduct a group buy…

Looks like the most effective type is a nanoparticalized chitosan, achieved by ion gelation. A quick search didn't glean the method of ion gelation, though, so I'm not sure how to do it. It seems like a relatively easy DIY, though, no harder than making your own C60 olive oil. I have a hot plate with magnetic stirrer that I think would work great if I could get the whole procedure.
