The effects of serotonin depletion from fenclonine are so drastic that serotonin cannot even be detected immunohistochemically within the first day after administration of a control dose. Tryptophan hydroxylase activity can be detected neither in cell bodies or nerve terminals.
It is hard to find this stuff.

if serotonin is so good why can you deplet it and not get serious illnesses but when you get low on dopamine you develop parkinsonss? makes me think maybe serotonin is not that important it has some functions but the body can do without it.

Have you ever gotten serious serotonin depletion? Trust me, it's no good. You might not die, but you will want to. Also, serotonin is very needed to regulate the GI tract. Depressed and constipated is not a recipe for a good weekend.
