Original post in this thread

Hello,

what dosages of nootropics depot extracts (especially mushroom and ginseng) do you take and what effects do you get?

I am currently taking lions mane and cordyceps 10:1. I am very sure that i am getting non placebo effects from lions mane but i feel actually absolutely nothing from cordyceps.
I am wondering whether i am taking enough and i did not find much about recommendet dosages.

Thanks.

I just read your article on mushroom extracts and under the lions mane section there is a reference to nerve stimulant growth factor or something like that which is in relation to a Japanese study. do you have the study or a link for that study as I am interested in finding out mor about it and there is absolutely nothing out there when I google search it.

If you do not have the reference, could you expand on what nerve stimulant growth factor is? and what areas o f the brain new neurons might be generated? That iss, if there is any info on this.

Here is my whole Mega Upload folder for mushrooms.

Full studies for each are under the various mushroom folders. Under Lion's Mane, the one I think you are looking for is "Hericenones C, D and E, stimulators of nerve growth factor (NGF)- synthesis, from the mushroom Hericium erinaceum." That's from Shizuoka University in Japan. There are a couple other Japanese and Koren studies in there as well.

This is part of the wholesale price list for "Nammex", the supplier of mushroom powders that many companies repackage/encapsulate and sell for a huge profit margin

Replying to eclecticlove1 · So where do you get the powder for the 8:1 dual phase extract?

We have our own suppliers, just like we do for all our ND branded products. They make it to our specifications. Then we test them in our lab for ID, content, beta-glucans, heavy metals, and now residual solvent residues.

Why the lion's mane you're buying is probably bunk.

First off, our Lion's Mane is not a traditional water extract. The water is used to break down the chitin in the cell walls, but the entire mushroom material is kept in. So you don't lose anything that you would with a f

We are absolutely NOT done with new products. We are in the thick of development for a bunch of them. Some of them are just taking longer than expected to get perfect, so we have had a lull in releases. That's just becau
