Powder City's latest marketing email directs readers' attention to its "Partial Liquidation Sale." There didn't seem to be any announcements made on PC's site yet, and details within the email itself were scant, so I'm hoping that /u/i11uminati can shed some light on anything that readers of /r/nootropics might like to hear concerning PC's future. Is PC going out of business, or changing ownership, or significantly scaling back product lines? (I ask because these are all typical reasons to run a "liquidation" sale.)
More broadly, do any nootropics vendors want to discuss recent changes in the nootropics market? Based on a number of adjustments within the past few months, I get the sense that it is becoming much harder to do business in this industry, and things feel a bit unstable right now. Some examples that come to mind are all of the recent credit-card payment processor freeze-outs, which seem to have spurred a number of changes among our reliable vendors. I'm keeping on going. It just seems like I get punched in the kidneys every week by something new I have to deal with. I don't really talk about it anymore, but fuck dude... every week it's something new. I have to wake up every day and fight some new type of bullshit. Half my day is fighting new BS. I'm not going anywhere, though. I'll keep fighting things as much as I can. We are still expanding things, and adding new products. It's just a different world now. It's not the same as it was when we could add all sorts of cool new things, and not worry about getting sucker punched by something out of left field. Every day I realize, more and more, how much of a lie I was told about our freedom. We only have as much freedom as we are allowed to by those with power. The moment you get on their radar, and they don't like it, is the moment you no longer have the freedoms you thought you did. But whatever, it is what it is. We either adapt, fight to change, or fail; and I don't feel like failing.
