A number of things. First off, most labs will not give you their raw data/readouts, and almost none will give you their testing methods. All you usually get is a number or %. Now that we have a full lab, and I go back and forth with my analytical chemist on these things, I realize just how crucial your methods are to trusting the result. So being able to have methods that we can validate in-house is something I want going forward. Second, we've had a couple instances where we sent off a sample to a 3rd party lab, and ran testing in-house, and our results showed it was less pure than what the 3rd party lab stated. So that made me immediately start questioning any 3rd party lab result where they did not give their methods and raw data for us to interpret as well. This is one big reason why we use Alkemist Labs for our natural analyses. They give us their methods and raw data output with every test we do. So we can verify, repeat, and trust their analyses. I have not found many 3rd party labs that will even consider doing that for us.
