So I know that the Polygala Tenuifolia has come out on ND and maybe some of you have purchased it and tried it. So my question is: what are your thoughts on it, what did you get as result?
There are not many reviews out here so I wanted everyone's opinion!

According to Examine, Yuanzhi-1 inhibits SERT at certain concentrations. I'm not sure if nanomolar concentrations are relevant and whether SERT inhibition matters in the context of Polygala Tenuifolia's other properties, like Yuanzhi-1's DRI and NRI effects and polygalasaponin's anti-serotogenic effects.
What do you make of polygala tenuifolia's serotogenic properties? Is polygala tenuifolia comparable to tricyclic inhibitors or SSRIs? If so, what would be a safe, prudent way to use polygala tenuifolia long-term while avoiding side effects?

Yuanzhi-1 has higher affinity for the SERT than NET (2.12nM vs 4.85nM). So it is certainly playing a large role. Yuanzhi-1 significantly increases 5-HT, DA, and NE in the frontal cortex of rats, but also does not show any other direct receptor affinity, like most tricyclics do. This means that while it seems to be just as effective as tricyclic antidepressants, it does not have the side effects traditionally associated with them. So far my subjective effects really match with what I would think a clean triple transporter inhibitor with mild NMDA antagonism would feel like.
