How safe is Semax?

From what I know there aren't many studies on Semax. And it's only approved as an essential drug in Russia.

Semax has plenty of long-term studies. They are just in Russian. It's an approved drug in Russia, and has been used for decades. Research on Semax started in 1982. It was tested for 14 years before being approved in Russia in 1996. More recently, it was also put on Russia's list of essential drugs. It's not some new untested compound. You could make a case for lack of research in the United States, though.
