So a hydrolyzed tannin? Probably slightly soluble in alcohol. Probably more of it in the husk of the pomegranate. I wonder if you could extract it with an acid/base extraction from the husks?

You are correct.
I am not sure on the exact details of the extraction process Verdure uses for Pomella, but I would not be surprised if the husk is a big part of it.
