Sensoril ashwaganda - sleep quality

Anyone have positive experiences with Sensoril and sleep quality taken before bed? From Nootropic Depot's blog, Sensoril is much better for getting restful sleep (maybe it positively influences sleep architecture). KSM-66 is less sedating, but that's what I've been taking for the last couple months with no difference in sleep quality.

Any idea how exactly Sensoril results in better sleep? I'm guessing it increases SWS but can't find any evidence.

Sensoril is higher in withanolides, and they have been shown to have GABAa affinities, along with opioid and cannabinoid affinities as well. Sensoril also uses the ashwagandha leaves along with the root, which has different ratios of each withanolide. The sleep-inducing effects are likely mostly related to the GABAa affinities, but also might be affected by the opioid and cannabinoid affinities too. GABAa agonists are widely known to promote slow wave sleep, reduce sleep latency, and increase sleep duration.
