Let's talk Ginseng

I saw NootropicsDepot released 3 new Ginsengs today so thought it was good time to ask for the difference between them and actual effects of Ginseng. Anyone experienced what it did for you?
Increase in mood? Calmness? Increase in cognition (apparently only on fatigued users) Anyone with actual experience?
And is the ginseng from root gonna have different effect from the one in leaf? Since their ginsegodies are very different.
Cheers.
P.S. Why is the dosage the same for 2 standard Ginsengs as the patented extract, extract apparently 15 times increased absorption, 4 times faster absorption and 4 times more consistent absorption.

Panax quinquefolius, the American stuff, did amazing things for my cardio. It was a complete caffeine replacement when I was in school too. The cost is the only thing that keeps me from going back, but I'd try a full spectrum extract. Red ginseng wasn't really my thing so according to TCM I run hot.
Any plans to look at P. quinquefolius extracts?

Yeah, I might consider it. American ginseng might certainly have its own benefits. The issue is that many places mislabel it as Panax Ginseng, which makes people completely confused as to which products do and do not work for them.
American Ginseng has more Rb1 ginsenosides than panax does, but less of the others. Panax ginseng has more Rg1 and Re ginsenosides. Perhaps you respond better to Rb1. Rb1 has been shown to be more of a depressant, whereas Rg1 is more a stimulant. You saying the American Ginseng was a replacement for caffeine makes me curious, though. I would expect a high Rg1 extract to be a better stimulant, which Panax Ginseng is. American Ginseng should be more calming.
I'd be curious how you would respond to our Panax Ginseng extracts. Our root extract has .5% Rb1, but 2.8% Rg1, and .4% Re. Our leaf has .3% Rg1, but 29% Rg1, and 5.3% Re. Potent American Ginseng extracts have 5% Rb1, but almost no Rg1(0.27%). As a caffeine replacement, our leaf extract is pretty damn good.
The reason I brought these out is that there is no source out there that sells Panax Ginseng that has been HP-TLC tested to assess the species used, and HPLC tested to verify the exact amounts and ratios of the various ginsenosides. So trying a vendor is like shooting in the dark. Even if it works, how do you know what particular ginsenoside you reacted best to, and if you even used the correct species of plant? I can see about working on an American Ginseng for people to compare, though.
