Any success stories with bacopa?

I've really enjoyed bacopa for its memory-boosting effects, but the increasing lethargy and caffeine lethargy has caused me to put it aside.
I'm curious if anybody here has had success stories with bacopa by combining it with something synergistic. I've heard people having success with bacopa thanks to exercise and/or vinpocetine. I've also heard CDP choline and polygala tenuifolia as possible solutions as well.
What has worked for you? Any suggestions on bacopa's lethargy mechanism?

Oh that's really interesting. What do you think is the reason why bacopa has such a sedating effect for many people?

I would imagine the lowering of dopamine by increasing 5-HTP levels, due to the up-regulation of tryptophan hydroxylase. Increasing TPH will make more 5-HTP, which will occupy the aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase enzyme more, which means that L-DOPA will bind less, making dopamine production fall.
