Any success stories with bacopa?

Original post in this thread

I've really enjoyed bacopa for its memory-boosting effects, but the increasing lethargy and caffeine lethargy has caused me to put it aside.

I'm curious if anybody here has had success stories with bacopa by combining it with something synergistic. I've heard people having success with bacopa thanks to exercise and/or vinpocetine. I've also heard CDP choline and polygala tenuifolia as possible solutions as well.

What has worked for you? Any suggestions on bacopa's lethargy mechanism?

I believe /u/MisterYouAreSoDumb team are working on modified Bacopa with trying to lessen effects on motivation, I read it some time ago, but not sure if they are still doing it.

Anyway, Bacopa is hugely popular supplement, I really mean it, few anecdotes of poor motivation really mean nothing in this case. For those that Bacopa works, the effects will be very subtle so they will not shout about it anywhere, hence it appears there are far more negative reviews than positive.

This is not the case. And if you constantly think that you will lose motivation while on Bacopa, placebo will strike you, it really will. Not saying Bacopa doesn't have issues, it of course will affect people adversely as any herb can, but for the number of people using it ( Bacopa is found in many multivitamins and very popular outside nootropics community) I don't think it's that big issue.

Yeah, we will be coming out with at least one more Bacopa version that will be more stimulating, and less sedating. I am hoping that will not be too long off.

We sell a lot of bacopa, but rarely get a bad report. I think most people take it, get subtle but good effects over time, and just keep it in their stack without really talking about it too much. It's very popular, and in a lot of people's stacks. It's just not one that elicits a bunch of reviews or reports.
