what is considered a good Milk Thistle product?

I have tried taking Milk Thistle again. I think it positively enhanced my prescription amphetamine (Dexedine). I don't know how or why exactly, unless someone here can figure out why this is. I did not take any other supplements. I did not take both at the same time but at least an hour apart. My Milk Thistle product is probably the #1 or #2 "best seller" on Amazon, for a reason. It is from Nature's Bounty "standardized extract" Milk Thistle, 250 mg. "Standardized to contain a minimum of 80% Silymarin". Is 80% Silymarin good enough?

So do they have a proper in-house lab like NOW Foods, or are you guessing they might? I've asked for test results from large supplement companies and sometimes they only have manufacturer CoA.

Nature's Bounty is huge here in the US. They are in every Walgreens around the country, and own a ton of different brands like Puritan's Pride, Solgar, MET-RX, GNC in the UK, etc. No idea about their testing, but they are massive. I think their revenue is like $4 Billion per year.

Just how bad is this industry?

Absolutely none? Probably zero from bigger brands. 50% off? Truthfully, I have not gone out and tested basic vitamins from brands. We have stuck to mostly botanicals and other small molecule organics. My assumption is th

Are the days of 3rd party COAs over?

We don't put any Chinese manufacturer COAs up. Those are worthless. The ones we put up are ours, based on the testing we do internally. We don't use Colmeric much anymore. I sent too many people his way, and he was inund

Replying to AM_OR_FA_TI · You seem upset. Here are some Swanson test results and awards, now you share yours. 🤗 These are some of the ConsumerLab.com distinctions awarded to Swanson products: • Swanson

I test Swanson stuff all the time. I know what is (and isn't) in their products. You said these results validated your support of Swanson, when Swanson failed and had the least of any brand tested. I was correcting the r

Seems to be useless. I just look at one for a milk thistle product on their site. https://s3.images-iherb.com/cms/cgn-00956-itested-silymarin-complex-03_13_2020.pdf There are no assay results. It's just ID tested on a
