Double Charges
Original post in this thread

I just placed an order with Ceretropic using the Offshore Visa/Mastercard option. I am actually a returning customer but have not ordered within the last year or really kept up to date with things. I usually do a ton of research before placing orders but have always put a lot of trust in Ceretropic so I didn't have any concerns or second thoughts. I'm now reading that a lot of people have been getting double charged by the processing company in Shanghai China? It sounds like it is a temporary hold from what I have read. Is this correct? If I get double charged is it only temporary? My concern is that I actually paid with a debit card tied to a checking account which does not offer the protection of a credit card.
Just looking for reassurance that the processing company isn't going to screw me. I'm fine with a temporary holding charge equal to the amount of the purchase as long as I get it back in a reasonable time, but if there are any doubts I'd prefer to be proactive on protecting myself. Thanks for any input.

You don't need to worry. The double charges people have had are usually holds from clicking the payment button more than once. If it does actually double charge you accidentally, our processor automatically refunds it. Even if for some reason they went crazy, and did not refund you, we would cover you. If you are not comfortable with the current card payment, you can always email [email protected], and ask for an alternate payment method.
