Is this dosage of Curcumin and piperine enough for the benefits?

Fair points. I'll admit I haven't had time to compile a matrix of info that shows exactly what data exists for each form... something that's needed to demystify this a bit more (literally show the gaps and alignment), especially given as you point out that this review has not included all information points.

That would be a good thing to post up. The real benefit to a graph or matrix would be to assess the concentrations of both free curcumin, total curcuminoids (with metabolites), total dosage required to reach the concentrations, and BBB permeability. You'll notice many of the manufacturers posting converted dosage equivalents of powdered curcumin, not the actual dose of their patented compound needed to reach the effect. So they say 30mg, when they actually mean 300mg of the Theracurmin complex. Then you'll notice some show the ng/ml of free curcumin, while others lump all the curcuminoids into a single data point.

Just look at this study.

The colloidal nanoparticles, named as 'theracurmin' showed AUC after the oral administration more than 40-fold higher than that of curcumin powder in rats. In healthy human volunteers, theracurmin (30 mg) when administered orally resulted 27-fold higher AUC than that of curcumin powder [102].

They quote the study outright, without looking into the fact that it was actually 300mg of Theracumin.

Here is the study they are referencing.

You have to really dig to see how they hid their numbers.

The THERACURMIN solution containing 10% of curcumin was dispersed in the 1% gum ghati solution. The final content of curcumin in the gum ghati solution was 1% in both curcumin powder and THERACURMIN.
Both curcumin powder and THERACURMIN in liquid form were administered orally at a dose of 30 mg of curcumin.

So they corrected their dosage labels to the amount of curcumin present, not the total dosage of Theracumin. Then they made no mention of that anywhere except for a single sentence in their trial design section. That's not cool. I realize the comparison makes sense. The other 90% of the compound is a carrier. However, they should be more upfront about the conversion metric used.
