Mods are getting overzealous with the moving of threads

My submissions are constantly being moved to other areas of reddit. While on the surface of it this may seem valid, I post here due to the kind of community this is and the particular slant in the response I'm looking for.
If the mechanism of mania triggered by SSRIs does not go here (it belongs to /r/AskDrugNerds and all 199 of them), what kind of discussions are supposed to go here? The thousandth post of a study that seems to stifle discussion since most of us are not able to access the study, or understand it fully? Vendor talk?

What they were answering

Often times the people that read the study don't comment, so we are only left with the people saying: "Explain like I am five." Then someone might come along and give an easier-to-read analysis of the findings, or they won't, and the post goes nowhere. Normally I would jump in if I saw that, but I am too busy to even think lately.

Don't you feel like no one ever jumps in and comments though? I think your ideal situation for this sub is very ambitious, considering the small proportion of truly (and comprehensively) educated folk lurking around here, ready to spend all their time commenting. They're like you. They're smart people so they have jobs and thus they have no time to spare for exhaustively answering pressing questions, let alone making insights/inferences of their own, publicly, for no personal gain.

I'm getting at a point but I'm losing interest because I have other shit to do.

I personally vote for a slightly-off-topic sunday.

Right, nobody ever jumps in. My ideal situation is far from reality. It's like Ayn Rand. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone wasn't a dick, and would freely make the right decisions, so that we don't have to be coddled? The reality of the situation is that ideals are very seldom met. That does not mean we should stop striving to achieve the ideal situation. It just means we have to compromise for a while.
