Very bad reaction to Hydrafinil

Original post in this thread

Don't mix hydrafinil with alcohol, any time of the day. I took ~100mg hydrafinil, ~200mg emoxypine, and 900mg NAC in the morning and consumed some alcohol 4~5 hours later in the day. It was a stupid idea to take hydrafinil in the first place but my reasoning was that it would be out of my system by the time I got to the alochol. I became extremely intoxicated and aggressive despite having drunk an amount that should have made me relaxed and cheerful. I then spent the next seven hours trying to wake up and realize what is going on and why everyone is angry at me. I went to sleep still not knowing what had happened and why, three hours later I woke up and realized it was the hydrafinil. It couldn't have been the NAC or the emoxypine because I have tried the combination before and I was totally fine. I spent the next day apologizing to the people who were with me. This was a stupid decision on my part, for having taken something that was not needed for its purpose, and for combining alcohol with a stimulant, though that was not my intention. My lesson is that some of the drugs out there are purely research chemicals and don't come with specific instructions. You take them at your own…

Most of the Eugeroics do not play well with alcohol. I always warn people not to mix them. I am not sure on the exact mechanism yet. However, it is very common with both Adrafinil and Modafinil. Alcohol does not play nicely with a lot of compounds out there.
