An Update on the Crystal Clear Supplements Vice Article Fiasco, and Possible Proactive Measures

Original post in this thread

Just wanted to let any concerned parties know that I got a response from Cady over at Crystal Clear Supplements after my email to him about his conduct in a recent Vice article about nootropics:

I appreciate your criticism and concern. I myself was not pleased with this section of the article as you are correct about phenibut being potentially dangerous. As journalism goes not everything is reported 100% accurately and I assure that I did alert mr. Eisinger that he was ingesting more than I would recommend anyone consume. It seemed to be his intention to push it to the limit and experience all levels of use.
As per your advice I will be drafting a more lengthy warning about the use of phenibut and adrafinil to post on my website to prevent people from using in excess and making sure they are aware of potential side-effects associated with phenibut in particular.
I am open to any other criticism you may have in the future.
Thank you and have an enjoyable evening.
Best regards,
Gor…

I agree with this. That is the reason I haven't contacted the authorities already.

So far, it seems that Cady is taking proactive measures based on my advice, and I can't really ask for more from a guy trying to run a business--not like he's going to shut it down for me or something.

I imagine you've turned down your fair share of offers by the media for interviews, coverage and the like? This definitely isn't a business to put through the sensationalizing sieve of the Press, and including the misguided paternalism of the US Government should be an extreme last resort, for sure.

I try to make it fairly hard for reporters to find me in the first place, and turn down any that do. I've seen too many instances of people's words being twisted to suit someone else's agenda.
