Has anyone attempted to extract bacopaside XII or synthesize it?

Edit: changed bacopaside XII to bacopaside XI - my mistake

Excuse my naivete when it comes to reddit rules...I hope I don't mess something up. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Still learning.

Everyone seems to really like bacopa in the nootropic subreddit community...but all the extracts and powders that I can find seem to be standardized for bacosides, not bacopasides. And when I look at the wiki for brahmi, the only chemical reference that I can directly relate to its nootropic benefit seems to be bacopaside XI.

Again, please correct me if I'm wrong.

And I'm not suggesting that anyone should isolate and consume bacopaside XI in large amounts or anything, but I'm interested if anyone has tried to synthesize the molecule or knows of anyone who has. Or if that even makes sense...

Again, excuse my naivete.

I did find this, which I feel like...is maybe a step in the right direction:

But alas, not much more.

I'm very intrigued by this Bacopaside, and by the mechanism & chemical constituents behind its nootropic & mood enhancing properties. Enlighten me, reddit?

Plants and animals are certainly far more brilliant synthesists [sic?] than human labs.

What about selective breeding? Look what selecting for THC content has done to marijuana in mere decades. Why couldn't the same be done with bacopa? Or has it already?

I wouldn't say that. Just more efficient! ;-)

Selective breeding could be done for bacopa. The issue is the time/effort/money needed to get something like that going. THC is a huge market. Bacopa is a lot smaller.
