I heard it's antibacterial and may partially destroy friendly gut bacteria. So I would simply take it with kefir and similar foods.

I still have the jar. It is antibiotic, so I shelved its use. I have enough GI problems since that maca incident. I want to stay away from things that are antibiotic.
