Hello hello, been lurking for a while but haven't posted yet. I recently changed up my usual routine (cycling modafinil and sulbutiamine and drinking a whole lot of matcha) and tried some new things. Thought I'd review it since so many of the reviews here have been helpful to me in the past.
I ordered hydrafinil and NA Semax from ceretropic. I was pleasantly surprised at quick delivery from the US to EU, even though I didn't use the more expensive shipping option. Took the chance with 'unreliable tracking' and still got it in less than a week. The Semax's cold pack was barely cold, but considering the heat wave that fell across western europe last week, I was satisfied so as long as it wasn't warm.
The Semax I tried almost immediately. It had a faint but still somewhat unpleasant smell. At first I thought it was the inside of my nose and ended up cleaning it with salt water, but later I actually opened the bottle and it smells a bit like feet and chlorine. I have a very sensitive sense of smell, so I wouldn't be surprised if I only picked it up because of that, but I'm also curious if that indicates the product had broken down at all.

Lol it's not just Ceretropic. I've gotten the same thing from AwakeBrain's NASELANK.
Honestly, it doesn't smell far off from BPA, the plastic additive. I was thinking I was getting the smell from the BPA likely used to manufacture my insulin needles (I wouldn't be surprised if they do on purpose: the System loves to subvertly poison diabetics any way they can with diabetic-related products--like reeling in a fish for the kill after hooking it) but as I understand this smell happens with the nasal sprays as well.
And I could see that being from BPA, too. As I get it, BPA is just used as a lubricant in the mass-production of plastics that keeps the machines from jamming, which in turn gleans more efficiency and a higher profit margin, sort of like magnesium stearate in encapsulations.
Which leads me to ask /u/misteryouaresodumb; do you know if your nasal sprays are BPA free? Also, would you be willing to produce and offer BPA-free insulin/peptide syringes? I don't like the stuff, and it really freaks me out that I can't find anything explicitly stating whether or not it is used in needles made for injection--I would sadly presume it is, however. Also, Googling "BPA-free insulin syringes" and "do insulin syringes contain BPA" gleaned nothing, which is concerning, to say the least. Haha, meat fat and BPA?!? The smell is the peptide itself, along with a faint smell from the DI water. Some of the sprays have very little, while others have a strong one. We don't use syringes to make our nasal sprays. We use electronic pipette guns, which do not contain BPA. Also, our nasal spray bottles are BPA free. There is never a time when the peptide comes into contact with anything that contains BPA.
I just put DI water into a spray bottle, and tested it out. It has a faint smell on its own. I used the same bottle and spray top with distilled water, and there was zero smell. Then I spray some N-Acetyl Semax Amidate in the same bottle, and it has a strong smell. It is the peptide itself making most of the smell. Our Selank and N-Acetyl Selank has very little smell compared to Semax. NA-Semax Amidate is the strongest smell of all of them.
I cannot speak for syringes, as we do not sell any. I think there was a whistle blower in the Netherlands that said a lot of the syringes on the market can leech BPA, due to leaking epoxy resin. I assume the epoxy resin in question is holding the rubber tip onto the plunger of the syringe, but I am not sure.
You can test our spray bottles for smell. When you finish one, just put some distilled water in it. Then check to see if the spray gives off the same scent. With straight distilled water, the spray is odorless. The smell comes from the peptide, and a little from the DI water.
