The onset is smooth and it seems to hit you full on at about 45 minutes. At first, I was like ok, it doesn't feel like much....then it hit. It felt like a euphoric high. There were no jitters, anxiousness or uncomfortable feeling. I think 200mg is a little too much for me. I might try 150mg next time. But yea, I'm loving it so far. I'll update as the week goes by as far as tolerance build up.
I'm a regular caffeine user everday but maybe it hit me so hard because it was my first time taking this mixture.
But yes, it feels very good.......I was looking for something to replace my energy drinks and this is it.

And also- if it is in complex to help the solubility, it has to be broken down to its component parts (caffeine and NALT) to become active, right? The nature of neurotransmitters are that they act on specific receptors, a complex of this sort would negate both caffeine AND NALT's activities (they no longer have the right 3D structure to act on their receptors). Unless of course they dissociated before acting, in which case this would be no different than taking each one separately.

Pharmacokinetics can vary wildly, based on the various complexes use in a formula. Take Tianeptine Sulfate for example. Are you saying that taking Tianeptine freebase and sulfuric acid separately will lead to the same effects as taking it as a salt? After all, they are the same thing, and just dissociate before binding in the brain. Taking them separately must lead to the same effects...
The absorption in the GI tract matters, even if the ultimate receptor binding in the brain in the same. Caffeine complexes are very common in the beverage world, and have significant effects on solubility and absorption in the GI tract. Taking a capsule of anhydrous caffeine, and a capsule of citric acid, is not going to be the same thing as taking caffeine citrate in solution. Complexes allow for altered stabilties and actions in solutions.
