I got 2 Percocets at the ER recently to treat an injury. I was later prescribed 10 more pills (2x/day) for the pain - which helped dull the pain.
The next day, I took one in the morning because the pain was affecting my concentration and well... it hurt a lot. The pain went away and then I found myself relaxed, but focused. Normally, I am a huge procrastinator on many thing, but I started doing a lot of stuff through out the day (took the day off work since I was told NOT to drive a car) where i would normally just sit on the couch.
Today at work, I took one as soon as I got here to again, dull the pain. I found myself motoring through all my work and being on point when normally I am foggy minded or scatter brained, but I can focus very well.
Perhaps this is temporary due to the use of Percocets, but I am curious to know of the other effects Percocet has over other pain relievers.
I can also see why people get addicted to this stuff.

Oxycodone is no joke. I get the same effects as you do. If it was not so addicting, with diminishing returns, it would be fantastic for mood and focus. Alas, that is not the case. I had to use Oxy for a year, due to my failed shoulder surgery, and the subsequent one to fix it/physical therapy. Take it from me: do not use it any longer than you have to. It will creep up on you. Pretty soon you will need it to feel normal. Use as little as you need to, for as short a period as you can.
